Here are some recent mnemonics I posted on twitter.

“to get baptized” shòujìn – When you “got baptized” you wore a long t-shirt so that you didn’t SHOW your JEANs.

“to imitate” “xiàofǎ” – You ‘imitate’ your dad all the time. You even SHOWer like your FAther.

“try hard” “nǔlì” – have you ever noticed how NEWLYweds “try hard”?

english “prove” chinese “zhèngmíng” mnemonic: PROVE you aren’t racist. Go into the JUNGle and MINGle with the amazon women.

english: “favor, to bestow kindness on” chinese: “ēndiǎn” mnemonic: The U.S. didn’t do any “favors” for the American ENDIANS.

english: “belong to” chinese: “shǔyú” mnemonic: does that SHOE “belong to” YOU?

kètīng” (living room) – I picture someone “cutting” up the carpet in my living room.
